Our big goal for 2020 is to have 200 people in our Marching Band! We are excited to have you be part of this historic season! We will be hosting an incoming freshmen information meeting next Monday – January 27 at 6:30 pm in the Corona band room C-169. If you are even thinking about doing the marching band next year – this meeting is for you! We will go over the time commitment, auditions, school instruments, band camp, trips, fees, fundraising, and more! This meeting is required for at least one parent and the student to attend if you are thinking of being part of the marching band next year. Congratulations who everyone who tried out for the Corona del Sol Jazz Bands! Placement results are available here. We will start rehearsals on Tuesday January 7 (no zero hour on Monday this week). Jazz will run every morning from 6:23am-7:15am unless otherwise noted on the calendar.
Congratulations to the Aztec Marching Band for finishing Third Place in the entire State at the Arizona State Marching Band Championships this past weekend at Glendale Community College. We are proud of the work our students put in and constantly seeking to improve week after week! Please join us at the Band Awards on Tuesday night to celebrate (more details in the post below). MB students – please see the schedule/details for Jazz Band, Steel Drum, Combined Concert Band, and Winter Guard and the “post season.” MB Students are required to fill out this survey after (and indicate their project to finish this semester) before Monday November 18. We will have a required zero hour meeting with the Marching Band on Monday November 18 at 6:23am in the Band Room. Marching Band Awards and Dance will be Tuesday November 19, 6-9pm, in the Cafeteria.

What a great morning at Corona del Sol for our Homecoming celebrations. It all started with Fox 10 visiting campus featuring our band, cheer squad and football team. Then came an appearance by the Orange Man Group and CdS Percussion at the Homecoming Pep Rally. See the highlights below:
